On August 7, 2011, we celebrated the dedication of our new church
With great joy Assumption Parish celebrated the Mass of Dedication of our new church in Truckee. Bishop Jaime Soto, Fr. Matt Blank, and Deacon Ray Craig were joined by several priests of the Diocese of Sacramento, including immediate past pastor Fr. Stanley Poltorak. The completion of this phase of the multi-year project satisfies part of a vision that we have long embraced and looked forward to making a reality. It is a project that will take an effort and sacrifice of many. Trusting in God’s providence we wish to offer to God and honor Him in this tangible way, so that this new church will be an expression and legacy of our faith.
