I welcome you to Assumption Parish. Our church is located in Truckee, California. Our Parish also includes the mission church Our Lady of the Lake in Kings Beach. Our community is diverse in that it ministers to both English and Spanish speaking parishioners. It is also enriched by many visitors and second home owners.

It is our hope that this means of communication would be a source of information that will enable you to be more acquainted with the Parish, its mission and history. Our hope is that you will partake with us on the journey of faith whether you are a member or a pilgrim sharing the life of Christ with us.

May the Lord bless us abundantly and may Mary, the mother of God and faithful disciple, be our inspiration to do the will of God.

 The completion of this phase of the multi-year project satisfies part of a vision that we have long embraced and looked forward to making a reality. It is a project that will take an effort and sacrifice of many. Trusting in God’s providence we wish to offer to God and honor Him in this tangible way, so that this new church will be an expression and legacy of our faith.
