"the aim and object of apostolic works is that all...children of God...should come together to praise God..., to take part in the sacrifice, and to eat the Lord's Supper".       - The Constitution on the Sacred Liturgy

When we hear God's word, we are compelled out of love to respond
                          - first during the liturgy and then in the world.

Children's Religious Education Program:  CLASSES BEGIN THE LAST WEEK OF SEPTEMBER 2009 and runs through May 2010.  Classes are closed on Holidays & Holy Days of Obligation and on any Snow Days announced through the Public Schools. If the children are in school when a significant storm blows in that impacts the roads, CCD teachers will try to contact the parents/guardians & also the school to let the child know that class will be cancelled, however, if it is questionable weather and you do not hear from the teacher please do not hesitate to call the office at 587-3595 to see if your child's CCD class is cancelled for that day. (Reminder: Only 5 absences are allowed for the year due to only meeting once a week with many holidays, holy days & snow days in between.) We thank you for your cooperation.

REGISTRATIONS ARE CLOSED FOR THE YEAR 2009-2010. Please come back in the spring 2010 to register for 2010-2011.

Parents, we rely on your participation to keep the program running, please help whenever you are able.  Please contact us or call the office at 587-3595 for more information.

A Special Thank You.....

To Patricia Barth, Religious Education Coordinator.
Patti will help with the coordination of classes working between the classrooms and the office.    Muchas Gracias!!!!

Our heartfelt gratitude goes to all those who have volunteered to teach at Assumption Church for the 2009-2010 school year:
Eileen Plumb, Brienne Lopez, Joan Leclerc,  Lorraine Lebel, Sarah Avery, Holly McGowan, Bertha Cardenas, Lynn Fagan, Maria Montano, Katie & Michael Holley, Juanita Ryan, Maria Espinoza, Sandi Spaich & Laurie O'Connor.

Thank you all for your hard work!!!

Please Note: All students in the Religious Education Program are required to attend at least 20 Masses throughout the school year as a part of their faith formation in order to complete their class.  (Going to another denomination, or a non-Catholic church does not count as a Catholic Mass or formation in the Catholic Faith - remember, we believe that Jesus Christ gave Himself to us in the Eucharist as His Body, Blood, Soul and Divinity which is real food and real drink indeed - He is truly present in bodily form). Thank you for your cooperation!
