Welcome to our site and to our Parish!
Marriages are a lifetime commitment..
We require a couple to go through a marriage preparation program attending once a month for at least six months prior to the date of their marriage. We will not schedule a date until you have met with the priest first.
Any couples wishing to use our church for their wedding that are coming from outside of our parish must first start their marriage preparation with their own parish priest and are required to get a statement letter from him stating that he is preparing you and that he is collecting the required documents before we can schedule a date for your marriage.

Scheduling
Weddings at Assumption Church are generally scheduled on Saturdays at 12:00 p.m. or 2:00 p.m. depending on availability. Please call the office for dates and times available. Weddings are usually held here in the late spring, summer or early fall. Weddings are not scheduled during the winter due to the unpredictable snow storms.
You may see the Photo Album or Maps for both the Assumption Church in Truckee or our mission church, Our Lady of the Lake, in Kings Beach.
